Cypress Mulch

Cypress mulch is commonly used throughout the GTA/Golden Horseshoe area of Southern Toronto as an organic way to control weeds and insects. As more harmful chemicals are banned from use in garden and landscaping projects in our area, mulches are becoming first choice for promoting plant growth and productivity.

Using Cypress Mulch in Southern Ontario

Cypress mulch is just one choice professional landscapers and home gardeners have when it comes to organic planting and gardening. This particular mulch is light in colour and lends itself easily to organic dye processes so that you can match your landscaping materials to the surrounding environment. Other popular mulches in communities such as Milton, Burlington, Oakville and Mississauga include cocoa bean (which is dark burgundy in colour) and BC red cedar (which indeed is reddish in colour).

Before you order cypress mulch for delivery, decide which type you want. "Grade A" cypress mulch has a stringy texture that is ideal for sloped areas and around trees. This product is very effective at repelling insects and will last many seasons before it needs to be replaced. "Premium" cypress contains more bark and is more suited to shady areas or around delicate plants and small planters.
