Soil Gardens

At Van Beek’s our passion for garden soils is the legacy of George Van Beek, who started his famous soil bus in the 1960s. George went about delivering his famous recipe, ‘Triple Mix Soil’, to thankful gardeners in and around Oakville. Today, not much has changed. Triple Mix Soil is still the most popular soil for gardens in Oakville and the business is still handled by the same Van Beek family. What has changed, however, is that we have expanded the range of soils we offer for gardens and the area of our operation.

Apart from the famous ‘Triple Mix Soil’, our line of garden soils includes options such as a premium topdressing, originally developed for executive golf courses, various customized mixes for specific requirements such as vegetable gardens or potting and a high quality, organic compost for revitalizing old soil.

Over the years, we have developed a very loyal clientele, who have really appreciated the high quality of products they have received and our eager, helpful attitude. We have handled different scales and types of orders and the people we have served include professional landscapers as well as passionate home gardeners.

To maintain a consistently high quality of soils for gardens we have limited our focus to our own local area of operation: the Southern Ontario region. After all, we know that when it comes to a product like soil, you can’t beat the expertise of those who understand local conditions and what works best there. From our two centres in Oakville and Mississauga, we process orders and deliver soil for gardens anywhere in Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Mississauga and Etobicoke.
