Techniseal HP NextGel Jointing Sand - Additional Information
Required Tools:
- Street broom
- Plate compactor - minimum centrifugal force of 25 kN (5,000 lbf) and a frequency between 80 and 100 Hz. The weight of the plate compactor should be at most 100 kg (220 lb).
- Leaf blower
- Garden hose
- Hand tamper may be needed in restricted areas where using heavier equipment is impossible.
Application Instructions:
- Spread the product evenly on a small surface
- Using a street broom, fill joints. Spread sand over short distances.
- Pass the plate compactor over the entire surface to compact the sand.
- Spread more product to fill the joints again.
- Pass the plate compactor over the whole surface a second time.
- Level the height of the sand with a leaf blower.
- Shower the sand with a garden hose for 10-15 seconds to set the sand. If on a slope, start from the bottom.
- Immediately afterwards, wet the same section for another 30 seconds.
- Over textured pavers, use the leaf blower to blow excess water off and into joints.
